Welcome To The Best Man/Beast Mixes On This Plane!

Coming in 2019: The Return of Mythulinity!

Now that Tumblr has determined the real world of varied sexuality no longer exists, I've decided to head out in a different direction and prove them wrong. It was fun while it lasted and all things must pass. I am now passing on Tumblr and reigniting the flame that once burned bright here at Blogger. Join me!

Here's the goal for our greater good: To share the best material from multiple online sources plus super manimal/mythical and real male images.

WARNING: This blog is devoted to gay adult themes. If you are under the age of consent (18) or are an uptight prude please leave this zone immediately!

Artists and Commission Owners:
If you find your work or property here and do not approve of it being posted on this blog, please contact me at greggerman52@gmail.com I will take it down ASAP.

FF Friday: Angelic Assortment

Most of the following images were collected off of Flickr where just about no collector credits artists. I'm not saying that is okay, it just is how it is. Much to the chagrin of the original artists and photographers, I am sure.

The original classical piece and a recent interpretation. Anyone know who did the original, where and when?

This piece by the American artist, William Rimmer, was used for Led Zeppelin's Swan Song Records logo. That, in turn, has been reinterpreted by photographer, David Vance:

FF Friday: Angelic

Unfortunately, I have no record of the artist who created these arresting angelic images. If you know who he is, please contact me so I can give him his justly deserved and add a link to his work site.

FF Friday: Debussy and Nijinsky

Two vastly different interpretations of Claude Debussy's classic, "Prelude to the Afternoon of A Faun".

First, from Italian animator, Bruno Bozzetto, and his film, Allegro non troppo:

Secondly, a performance of the classic ballet originally mounted and performed, infamously because of a simulated masturbation scene, by the renowned dancer Vaslev Nijinisky.

Here is the link (the video is restricted from embedding): Afternoon Delight.

I'm not sure if the dancer here is the choreographer, Barry Moreland, or not. This is only Part One of two parts.

FF Friday: Devils and Demons and Gargoyles, Oh my!

(No FF does not stand for Fist Fuck.)

A few pictures of some really beastly fellows:

Here's a real stretch of the faun concept, sort of leather fauns by the French artist, Maxime, AKA Asphalt Jungle:

Male Art Dept.: Absinthe Studios

Does Absinthe make the hard grow fonder? Anyway . . .

Another cartoonist who loves to explore the world of superheroes diddling each other AKA "Slash". Definitely one of the major themes you will find featured here at Mythulinity.

What it means to be "Going Greek".

X-Men's Beast shares a beast-sized super-load with The Swordsman.

Catman. "Meow-ma-mow, meow-ma mow, mowma, mowma, mowma mow, CATMAAAAN!" Huh? The Catman Theme, of course.

He-Man meets Mer-Man. "My goodness, He-Man, don't get your tentacles in a twist. Ooowhahaha. Glub."

And to end Anything Goes Thursday we have a quiet little picture showing our friend, He-Man, in a rare moment of complete vulnerability and exposure. Well, at least he doesn't look cold.

Male Art Dept.: The Fine Art of Matthew Stradling

A justifiably important artist in the realm of fine homoerotica, British master, Matthew Stradling, creates epically gorgeous images of men. There is no other artist quite like Mr. Stradling. He has managed to raise the bar for depictions of nude men and their acceptability into the sphere of fine art.

His male models seem to float in the fantasy airs of beauty and pleasure. They are surrounded by jewels, pearls, and flowers that vie for their beauty but, instead, give them exquisite focus and enhance their striking form.

Stradling's nudes are exalted as iconography. Their auras exude satisfaction, contentment, and a supreme sense of occupying their ideal place in nature. These men are never at odds with their surroundings. Their juxtaposition with luxurious trappings merely highlights their sense of belonging. For truly man is, in Stradling's art, God's most beautiful and important creation.

Male Art Dept.: The Art of Gnimrom

Gninrom--that's morning backwards--loves to fool around with comic cultural icons. This is fan art of a decidedly stiff nature. I wonder if Gninrom's name comes from his waking with woodies.

I guarantee you've never seen Mickey quite like this . . .

Or Walter Lantz's Andy Panda . . .

How about X-Men's Nightcrawler and Teen Titan's Beastboy . . .

And, finally, Matt Groening's Bender from Futurama . . .
