Satyrday: Satyr Glade

Satyr Glade is a site devoted to satyrs (gee, obvious by the name, eh?) and well worth a visit.

Minotaurs on Satyrday?

Well . . . maybe there will be a "Minotaur Monday" comin' up, but right now I'm padding this venture with a cartoon. 

Theseus attempting to Slay a very lithe and leanly muscular Minotaur:

Disney did a series based on it's musical-comedy animated film version of the legend of Hercules*. The film wasn't all that good. Neither is the series, but it has this episode with a hunky minotaur and featuring the voice of David Hyde Pierce, formerly of "Frasier", the voice of 'Abe Sapien' in the Hellboy** movie series, and now a star on Broadway after Spamalot***, and someone who sounds suspiciously like they are doing an impersonation of the late Charles Nelson Reilly.

Art by Admiral Yrrek fashioned after the Alan Cumming (the perfect name for a gay actor, eh?) character in the musical film, Reefer Madness. Cumming also played the Nightcrawler character in the X-Men films.

Now, if only smoking herb made this possible . . .

Cumming appears at 4:14 or so, but there is plenty of bare male flesh before his arrival.

. . . this just in from Afghanistan:

This video remake of the Lady Gaga song, "Telephone", has gone totally viral. It's just some soldiers blowing off some steam and having fun during a miserable war. But what is really funny about it is the unintentionally gay aspect of the whole slapped together production. It is just plain cute. I'd have never heard this song if they hadn't made the video for their friends stateside. I wonder what Gaga thinks of it?
