This piece brings back some fond memories of the cartoons by Gerald Donelan that ran in the Advocate and Advocate Men. Donelan was one of the best of the early cartoonists whose work takes me back to the time around when I came out in the mid- seventies. It was a great time to be gay until AIDS appeared and broke up the party.
